This 41" tall Queeen of Hearts is so beautiful. She's made of 100% cotton muslin. Her nose, and mouth, and fingers are needle sculpted with hand sewn stitches. Her crown is part of her head and also has needle sculpting to seperate it from her head. The crown is painted gold. The entire doll is stained with my coffee/vanilla stain. Her eyes are buttons with accent stitching. She has dark brown border leicester sheep wool hair. The wool is from locally raised sheep and I wash and sort it myself. Her lips are painted red and sanded.
She wears muslin pantaloons. Her underdress is white with pencil thin dark red stripes. She has a dress over the top that has a skirt that's open in the front so the underdress is visible. The dress is red with dark red fleur de lis designs. She has heart shaped buttons on the bodice and a vintage style cabinet key pinned to one side. She carries a boquet of 6 printed fabric hearts on wired burgundy stems. The boquet also contains tiny silk buds and white pips. The stems are tied with coffee stained cheesecloth. She is signed " designed and madee with love, Lucy".
